Water Lily: Purely of Heart - I'm Nobody Yet (スイレン - まだ何者でもないわたし, Suiren - mada nanimo demonai watashi?) is the first episode of the Assault Lily Bouquet anime.
Summary[]
Riri Hitotsuyanagi enters Yurigaoka Girls' Academy to become a Lily and protect people from the Huge, but finds her fellow Lilies more competitive and combative than she'd imagined. When a Huge specimen escapes, can Riri survive her first battle with no training?
Plot[]
Riri introduces herself as she heads to the Yurigaoka Girls' Academy to attend the entrance ceremony. She takes a train to her destination and internally details the purpose of Lillies that fight against Huge. Upon arriving at the academy, a car parks in front of Riri and a young girl by the name of Kaede J. Nouvel exits from it. Although there's a minor misunderstanding between the two, they head into the academy together and introduce themselves to one another. Further in the academy, a confrontation between Yuyu Shirai and Araya Endo is had and once Kaede notices Yuyu, she leaves Riri to join the crowd to watch. With Kaede gone, a young girl named Fumi Futagawa approaches Riri and starts talking with her. Fumi details many things about Kaede and the two girls who are confronting one another, stating that Araya wants Yuyu to make a Schutzengel pledge.
Starting things off, Araya activates her CHARM, but Kaede intervenes tries to takes the place of Yuyu by fighting against Araya with her CHARM, but is stopped by Riri. As Rumi worries for Riri, a young girl by the name of Miriam Hildegard V. Gropius states that Riri did something noble, but one wrong move could spell trouble for her. The sound of a bell then resonates in the air and Shinobu Izue approaches the crowd scolding them for starting a commotion and warning them of an escaped live specimen. Because of the hazardous nature of the Huge who can blend in with it's surroundings, Yuyu is partnered with Kaede. Araya is pulled away by a girl named Ichi Tanaka much to her dismay. Just then, Riri volunteers to help Yuyu and Kaede and surprisingly Yuyu agrees to it.
The three girls head into the area where the Huge is suspected to be and Kaede laments over not being able to accomplish the mission alone with Yuyu. Eventually, the trio encounter the Huge and it accosts Riri who cannot activate her CHARM. She's then rescued by Yuyu who uses a flash-bomb to escape from it. Later, Kaede chastises Riri for being so careless, but Yuyu takes the blame claiming it's her fault for allowing someone inexperienced to join them. Yuyu then helps Riri make a simplistic pact with her CHARM and as they do this, the Huge appears and Kaede fights against it. Amid the fight, the Huge creates a smokescreen and tries to get Kaede to attack Yuyu, but Riri pushes her out of the way and Yuyu attacks the Huge using Riri's ribbon. Through the combined efforts of the three Lilies, they manage to defeat the Huge.
Afterward, back at the academy, both Riri and Yuyu are quarantined in a room together and have a heart to heart with each other. Soon, a young girl by the name of Moyu Mashima enters the room and introduces herself. She details that she's the person who let the Huge loose. Once the girls are able to leave the quarantine, they're met by Kaede who hugs and sobbingly apologizes to Riri for her precarious nature. Both Riri and Kaede then attend the entrance ceremony where they at first believe to be late for, however, it was, in fact, delayed for the new "Meritable" students. Elsewhere, Yuyu in her room talks with Misuzu Kawazoe who teases her.
